Under The Bed
In a remote country home, Claire lives with her beloved parents. They, however, are somewhat
detached toward her and so, after leaving for a couples' vacation, they never returned. Perhaps
they may have forgotten they have a daughter? Claire waits and waits for them, days going by.
On the evening of the third night, Claire shakily clutches the covers of her bed: she is afraid.
Her parents have not yet returned. Yet, she will not be alone that night. As in her worst nightmares,
from under the bed sprout
black-ish gem-hearted monsters, and white-ish arms try to
grab her!
She screams and slips under the sheets, where the
semi-intangible monsters cannot reach her. Out of
spite they trash the entire house, and it becomes clear that they will not leave until they have taken her.
Claire, awake, waits for the daylight, but it does not seem to be coming. Finally, hungry, thirsty and afraid,
she gathers her courage. Peeking over the blankets, she sees her
flashlight: if the monsters have come
out at night, it means they are afraid of
light! Using it, she can reach the living room and
leave the house.
If Mom and Dad are gone, then she will save herself!
